English-Style Barleywine

Novelty Theory is the newest addition to our line up of barrel-aged beers. Months ago, we brewed an English-style Barleywine using 100% Maris Otter malt, fermented it in our oak foeder, and eventually aged it in a variety of barrels. We then pulled some American Power Ale from Wyoming Whiskey barrels (where it’s been resting for nearly two years) and blended the two. The result is a bouquet of cherry and vanilla with hints of caramel and oak.
